Here is a quick tip on how to get a realistic, chimey 12-string guitar sound using the EHX HOG Harmonic Octave Generator. Using the expression pedal in step-bend mode, slightly detune the HOG. This leaves your original guitar signal unaltered while adding a more realistic 12-string sound to the HOG. Add some delay using the Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai placed after the HOG for ambiance and you’ll have all the jingle jangle you need!
